The DIGI’AWARE Project DIGI’AWARE, » Digital Awareness of young people to use safely social media» promotes digital awareness and safety among young adults.

It lasts 26 months, from November 2023 to December 2025.

It has been approved in Norway and the promoters are MiR, a network of and for parents, children and young people regardless of their ethnic and social origin. With a multicultural perspective, we contribute information, advice and support on matters related to day-care, school, family life and community life. MiR también actúa como portavoz de grupos individuales en las reuniones con las autoridades y la sociedad en general.

It targets youngsters and their parents by equipping them with the necessary skills and tools to be active citizens and to gain their rights. We are paying particular attention to estrategia de la UE para combatir la desinformación en línea  the EU strategy to combat online disinformation (March 2021), which stipulates that: “The Commission is tackling the spread of online disinformation and misinformation to ensure the protection of European values and democratic systems”. That is why we consider that "when the informal, non-formal, and formal structures of adult education engage with external social forces they can play a constructive and dynamic role. That is even more important at this challenging time in our lives". The project is focused on the following results:

- A Handbook addressed to professionals
- A ready to use Training Kit
- The online training HUB (open access OER)
- Project branding and promotional materials

The consortium is formed by partners from Belgium, Hungary, France, Portugal, Ireland and Turkey.
