WOMEN4PEACE – Peace Education for a Better World is an Erasmus+ cooperation project that places migrant women at the heart of peace education in Europe. The initiative addresses today’s social and cultural challenges by empowering migrant women to become peace education trainers and role models for young people. Rooted in European shared values, the project promotes active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social cohesion, and conflict prevention across diverse communities.
The project is built on a human-centred Design Thinking approach and develops innovative learning tools, including a transnational eBook for young people, 21 open educational resources, and a multilingual online resource centre available in seven languages. These resources focus on peace literacy, EU values, leadership, intercultural communication, and emotional well-being, providing practical and accessible training pathways for migrant women and youth workers alike.
Implemented by a strong European partnership from Sweden, Spain, Italy, Belgium, and Romania, WOMEN4PEACE creates long-lasting impact by building capacities, strengthening networks, and embedding peace education into youth and adult learning contexts. By empowering migrant women as agents of change, the project contributes to a more inclusive, resilient, and peaceful Europe.
