CORE-ED (Co-Regulation for Resilient Education)<\/strong> is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership project in School Education that aims to strengthen the capacity of early childhood educators and primary school teachers to create resilient, inclusive learning environments that support children's self-regulation, wellbeing, and active participation.<\/p>\n

\n

Across Europe, educators increasingly face the challenge of supporting children affected by social, emotional, and educational disruptions. While self-regulation is widely recognised as a key competence for children's development and learning success, many professionals have limited opportunities to develop practical skills in co-regulation<\/strong>the responsive adult support that enables children to build self-regulation capacities. At the same time, there is growing interest in Active Playful Learning, APL<\/strong> approaches that connect emotional development, physical activity, and inclusive teaching practices.<\/p>\n

CORE-ED addresses these challenges by bringing together universities, teacher training institutions, early childhood education providers, and educational experts from across Europe to develop innovative training pathways and resources for educators.<\/p>\n

Our Objectives<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Strengthen educators' competences in social-emotional learning, developmental psychology, and co-regulation.<\/li>\n
  • Promote Active Playful Learning methodologies that foster participation, inclusion, and wellbeing.<\/li>\n
  • Develop a transnational Train-the-Trainer model that enables sustainable capacity building across partner countries.<\/li>\n
  • Support the integration of co-regulation approaches into teacher education, vocational education, and continuing professional development programmes.<\/li>\n
  • Generate evidence of impact through a robust monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance framework.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What We Will Deliver<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Two blended learning training modules:\n
        \n
      • Social-Emotional Learning, Developmental Psychology and Co-Regulation.<\/li>\n
      • Active Playful Learning for Inclusive Education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • A Trainer Handbook with implementation guidelines and practical resources.<\/li>\n
      • A European Train-the-Trainer programme leading to a pool of certified trainers.<\/li>\n
      • National training courses and pilot implementations reaching educators across Europe.<\/li>\n
      • Open Educational Resources (OERs) freely accessible online.<\/li>\n
      • A transnational evaluation report and policy recommendations to support future educational practice and policymaking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Expected Impact<\/h3>\n

        CORE-ED seeks to train between 200 and 290 educators and teachers<\/strong>establish 5 to 7 institutional integration processes,<\/strong> and demonstrate measurable improvements in professional competences related to co-regulation and inclusive education. Ultimately, the project aims to contribute to educational environments where children aged 3 to 10 can thrive, participate actively, and develop the self-regulation skills needed for lifelong learning.<\/p>\n
